Company introduction
Company LA Composite Ltd. had been established in 10th of August 1995 as a joined venture of establishing companies Letov a.s. and ATG Ltd.. After Letov's bankruptcy, ATG Ltd. gained the Letov's share of the company, and thus became the sole owner. The company immediately continued the long-time tradition of composite sandwiches and bonded structures manufacturing for aerospace industry. Before long they have expanded their range to the transport industry (especially wheel vehicles) and special applications (motorsport, yachting, looms, ... ).
For our customers we are able to offer complex services beginning with design work of parts or structures up to serial production, or separated parts of this complex process.
Key technology is the use of prepreg, which is then cured in autoclave or furnace. By enhancing our offer, in a meantime we are implementing infusion technology as an attractive price alternative for applications, especially in aerospace.

Participation in European research programs
LA composite Ltd. successfully penetrated into the science and research after several successfully solved projects with national support of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic into the European research programs. LA composite Ltd. became a member of project ILDAS solving consortium, supported by European Union.
Project ILDAS is focused on the problematic of endurance of huge transport airplanes against lightning bolt in inclusion to economy of operation and maintenance. According to the actual statistics the commercial plane or helicopter is hit by the lightning bolt at least once a year. The consequences of the lightning bolt are minimal in case of the bolt with low amplitude, however the high amplitude can lead to significant loss, which can have impact on delay and very expensive repair.
Acronym ILDAS means In-flight Lightning Strike Damage Assesment System. From the project name we can derive the main goal is to develop a board system for lightning bolt evaluation. This system in the future will be able to evaluate the bolt dangerousness and thus avoid the unnecessary maintenance with expensive costs for plane delays.
